Case Study: Supporting the Launch of Mont make’s New Cosmetics Brand in an Unfamiliar Industry

This project highlights my involvement with Mont make Inc., where I supported the launch of their new in-house cosmetics brand.
Although the cosmetics industry was completely new to me, I worked closely with the team throughout various phases—from building the foundation of the business to team management, communication design, and articulating the CEO’s vision.

Project Background

Mont make had long envisioned launching their own cosmetics brand.
However, previous attempts had stalled multiple times due to communication gaps and an unstable project structure both inside and outside the company.

This time, I was appointed directly under the CEO as the primary lead for project initiation.
My role was to create the “groundwork” that would allow the project to move forward consistently and sustainably.

Key Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Team Assembly

I began by defining the required roles and drafting recruitment criteria.
I then researched and assigned professionals capable of handling each phase, including social media operations, product planning, direction, and editorial tasks.

2. Aligning Vision with Reality (Requirements Definition)

I conducted detailed interviews with the CEO to understand the underlying vision and translated it into concrete, actionable terms from a professional standpoint.
This “vision articulation” process ensured that the team shared a unified direction—essential for new business development, which often progresses with ambiguity.

3. Project Facilitation & Meeting Design

During the initial stages, I supported project management by reviewing task progress, coordinating workloads, and organizing deliverables.
I also prepared agendas, facilitated meetings, and visualized action items when necessary.

4. Managing the SNS & note Editorial Team

In preparation for the brand launch, I supported the content team responsible for SNS and note (blog) communications.
This included creating article structures, scheduling posts, coordinating with external writers, and producing the corporate website.
Through both communication design and execution management, I helped establish the brand’s presence.

Outcomes

The project ultimately overcame its past setbacks and successfully reached product commercialization.
Today, the brand is available under the name “me in me” (https://me-in-me.com/).

Although I stepped away toward the mid-stage of the project, I believe that the early groundwork—team structure, relationship building, and vision alignment—played a major role in enabling smooth progress afterward.

Final Thoughts

Even in an unfamiliar industry, a project can move forward when supported by:

  • The ability to articulate ideas
  • A high-level, holistic perspective
  • The right people placed in the right roles

If your organization has:

  • A strong vision but lacks the structure to execute it
  • A need to align team members and organize communication
  • A desire to turn intentions into a functional system

I would be happy to support you.
